Cupcake Making (with TWO 3 year olds and a 6 Month old)

So, Kaden's birthday party is tomorrow, and because I am now a stay at home mom, I thought why don't I make the cupcakes... Here is the story... (Mind you Nate has been in South Carolina for the week)

Let me first say... Grandma came to help!

First we start with a white mix (3 boxes) make as directed. Then we separated the mix into 6 equal parts and colored it.

Next Step: Line your muffin tins with papers
                  (Isn't my mom pretty?)

We put 3 colors per paper, you can do it however you would like.

Bake as directed, some might be filled a little too much... :)

Then, take a break and feed the screaming children... we made Crescent Roll Grilled Cheese! Awesome, and the boys couldn't stop eating them!

Oh, and Eli enjoyed his FIRST Cheeto!

I think Grandma and the boys got into my homemade frosting!

 Let the cupcakes cool...

Here are some of the finished project... They are Awesome and soooo yummy!

On top of the cupcakes, we made 3 batches of Caramel Apple Salad, and Cauliflower Salad... It was a great day, but now... I am tired!

Happy Birthday Angel Baby!

Two weeks from today, 1 year ago was my due date to my Angel Baby.

We should be getting ready for a Great Celebration, instead there will always be a void.

Happy Birthday to you... Happy Birthday to you... Happy Birthday sweet Angel, Happy Birthday to you...

I wrote something a while back about that day, here it is:

Holding Me

The excitement, going to be a mom again
Waiting for the first time I hear you
Waiting for you to kick
Dreaming about who you will become
Praising God for a new life
In an instant all fades away
Terrified about what is happening
Fearing the unknown
Pleading with God that you're ok
Silence-silence is all I hear
Sad eyes is all I see
And then, “I'm sorry"
I'll never hear you
I'll never feel you
I'll never hold you
You're gone before I held you in my arms
You're gone before I get to kiss your nose
Empty
Mad
Unfair
And then; peace
A stillness I can't explain
Quiet
You're holding me
You're holding me through the storm
Quietly I hear, "Be still and know that I am God"
"Be still and know"
It's quiet now, and all the fear has faded away.

Getting Ready for Fall

I think my favorite time of year is when there is a slight chill in the air, leaves are changing, kids are back in school... yes, it's Fall!

So, this is my first fall home full time, Cameron and I have done a few projects we found on pinterest, and one that I made as a child. They were fun and super easy!

We made ghosts out of paper plates and crape paper, Trees out of feet and hands, and stand alone ghosts made with fabric and liquid starch. Homemade liquid starch, I couldn't believe that not one store here sells it! However, super easy to make, and it is practically free!

Enjoy!
